On Monday 20th February, Blackboard Inc. hosted their first conference in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference, held at the Intercontinental hotel Riyadh, was titled the Blackboard Teaching & Learning Forum.

22 academic institutes and universities from around the Kingdom were invited to participate including Knowledge International University, King Saud, Imam Mohammed bin Saud, King Abdullah and King Fahad University.

Knowledge International University is delighted to announce the awards of 90 full scholarships after the completion of its successful scholarship programme.

Over 370 applicants had registered for the programme leaving the selection committee the very difficult task of selecting the worthy prospective students out of so many very strong applications.

In late December 2011, KIU opened an opportunity to award full scholarships to keen prospective students. The response was overwhelming Alhumdulillah. In the space of one week KIU received several hundred registrations from applicants in over 40 countries.

In December 2011, Sheikh Saad Ash-shethri was invited to attend a 4 day Winter conference along with many other notable scholars from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The event was organised and hosted by Greenlane Masjid in Birminigham, UK.

Sheikh Saad was a keynote speaker and all his lectures are now available in English
