Earlier in the year prior to the start of the 2013 Spring semester, Shaikh Majed Bin Abdullah Aljuwair, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Knowledge International University, attended a ceremony at the Da'wah foundation in Makkah and had the honour of meeting his excellence Shaikh Abdur-Rahman Al Sudais - the Imam of the Haram in Makkah and the Imam of the Da'wah Foundation.

 In early February KIU Lecturer Sh Sajid Umar conducted a 2 day course in Dubai on Manhaj As-Saalikeen. The course was organised by the UAE based dawah organisation Kalemah in conjunction with Knowledge International University. 

By Allah's grace our beloved brother Sheikh Sajid Umar has just completed his Masters degree with first class honors in Comparative Islamic Law from the Higher Institute for Judiciary at alImaam Muhammed bin Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, KSA

Sheikh Sajid has been inspiring many of the KIU students to not only gain knowledge but also to imbibe it in their lives so that they become useful members of their communities.
